Alternatively, you could continue on how you were before, achieving no (or hardly any) progress with your health and fitness goals. If you’re still here, then welcome! I can tell you’re prepared to put in the effort and have what it takes to become the healthiest version of yourself. We are not talking about someone who just slightly cares about health. We are talking about someone who is fed up with putting in hours, months, even years of effort and having almost nothing to show for it. Whether it’s life, practice or during an intense training session, I always try to be as honest and transparent as possible. This blog will be no exception.

Today’s biggest issue - that isn’t COVID-19

One of the largest issues right now is navigating the tonnes of information available to us about our health. Even if you discover some scientific peer-reviewed research, understanding how to read and interpret the results can be confusing. It requires lots of statistical knowledge and often the conclusions are quite ambiguous or slightly misleading. It can take several hours to fully interpret what the author/s are trying to explain. Even then you’ll often run into a vague conclusion, or the phrase, “more research is required to reveal more information on what  ‘A’ does to ‘B’.

What a nightmare!

When it comes to your health, you deserve to be informed on the latest evidence. Not knowing about a particular topic could mean the difference between making a worse choice that could result in inadequate health, stunt your fitness progress or more devastatingly injure you! This could set you back months! (which may not not necessarily be the worst thing, but we’ll talk more about that another time.)
